Bake Me A Cake

  • I bake old-fashioned layer cakes from scratch reminiscent of a simpler time. 
  • All ingredients are natural, and locally sourced as much as possible
  • I am big on flavor, but a minimalist on decoration.
  • I will personalize your cake with an inscription such as Happy Birthday or Congratulations.
  • I will garnish cakes with fresh, local, organic flowers/fruit or chocolate.
  • I will deliver cakes for free within Doylestown.  All other cakes are for pick-up only.
  • I am certified in food safety.  My impeccably clean kitchen is licensed and inspected

  • I don’t use fondant.
  • I don’t make shaped cakes or sheet cakes.
  • I don’t use artificial trans-fat or preservatives.
  • It may be hip to be square, but all of my cakes are round and layered.
Carrot Cake*
Moist layer cake with finely grated carrots, a hint of cinnamon, toasted walnuts, optional rum-soaked raisins, and cream cheese frosting

Pumpkin Cake (in season only)
Locally grown pumpkin is the star of this moist cake with a hint of cinnamon, and optional toasted walnuts. Filled and topped with cream cheese frosting.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Cake
Mellow chocolate cake, filled and frosted with peanut butter meringue buttercream, drizzled with homemade peanut butter caramel sauce, and topped with natural peanut butter cups.
Orange Chiffon Cake*
Light and airy citrus sponge cake with an orange liqueur-infused Swiss meringue buttercream
Strawberry Buttermilk Cake* (in season only)
Moist strawberry cake filled and frosted with a strawberry cream cheese frosting

Chocolate Raspberry
Dark chocolate cake brushed with raspberry liqueur, filled with raspberry preserves and frosted with a chocolate/raspberry buttercream.
The Very Vanilla Cake*
Sponge cake and Swiss meringue buttercream infused with three types of vanilla:  crushed vanilla bean, Madagascar bourbon vanilla, and vanilla infused sugar.
Chocolate Espresso Cake with Latte Buttercream and Caramel Drizzle*
Dark chocolate cake infused with espresso, filled and frosted with a whipped latte buttercream and drizzled with homemade caramel.  Garnished with chocolate covered espresso beans. Your favorite coffee drink in cake form!

Banana Butterscotch Cake with Toasted Walnuts and Rum Buttercream
Moist and lightly spiced banana cake with toasted walnuts, drizzled with old-fashioned butterscotch sauce, and frosted with a rum infused buttercream.

Lovely Lemon Cake
Light and airy vanilla chiffon cake, filled with homemade lemon curd, and frosted with white chocolate meringue buttercream.

Chocolate Caramel Cake with Salty Pretzel Crunch*
Mellow and moist chocolate cake with layers of caramel Swiss meringue buttercream, caramel sauce, and crushed PA made pretzels.

Vanilla sponge cake filled with homemade vanilla pastry cream and topped with chocolate ganache
The Devil Dog Cake
An all natural spin on the lunchbox treat from childhood.  Rich chocolate devils food cake with a fluffy, marshmallow-like buttercream.  Lunchbox and thermos not included.

Coconut Layer Cake
Vanilla sponge cake filled and frosted with a billowy meringue buttercream and copious amounts of coconut
German Chocolate Cake
Mellow chocolate cake filled and topped with a coconut/pecan frosting. 
The All American
Vanilla chiffon cake filled and frosted with a dreamy chocolate frosting.  Specify mellow/medium/or dark chocolate.
Strawberry Tall Cake (in season only)
Vanilla sponge cake filled with freshly whipped cream and local strawberries.

Mellow Milk Chocolate Cake
Very mild chocolate cake with a creamy milk chocolate buttercream.

  • Fillings are $5 extra per 6-8 inch cake and $10 extra for 9-12 inch cake.
